Resident Evil 1

Starring again Mila Jojovitch Resident Evil 1 is the beginning of the Movie- Series. In contrary to the other Three Resident Evil's This movie has a plot other than just shooting and killing Zombies (The other movies are still great)

The plot is the trigger for all the other movies that came and are still coming!!!

In a secret lab, run by the Umbrella Corporation, a deathly virus is set free by a man who remains undetected until the end of the film ... The problem that occurs after this incident is, that the dead don't remain dead! They rise and take over the lab, called "the Hive", that is located under Raccoon City. A special forces team is dispatched to find out what happened down there and shut down the computer mainframe. (The outside world doesn't know what happened with the dead) The entrance to the secret lab is in the house of Alice, who suffers from amnesia due to  an exposion to a toxic gas. It turns out that  she is the guardian of the entrance with her "husband", who they meet a bit later. They decide to go into the "Hive". Entering "it" they don't encounter any resistance but an annoying hologram of the PC Mainframes representative Hologram, who tells them to stop trying to break through to the mainframe and shut it down. It seems as though the PC went berserk and killed the whole staff and sealed itself off.

After reaching the mainframe (Having already suffered casualties from the mainframes resistance) they shut it down. The shut down causes the system to reboot and the Zombies, which where held off by the sealed doors are let free. A bloody fight commences and escalates as more and more members of the Team are eaten or turned into Zombies, by the Zombies! The Movie ends with a turning point ... it turns out, that Alices husband is the traitor who released the Virus. After he is bitten by a Zombie he tries to reach for an antidote he has stored in a secret place but is killed by a huge monster called a "Hunter". At the end only Alice and another guy reach the exit, but the other guy has been bitten by a Zombie. As soon as they exit the "Hive" they are taken into custody by scientists of Umbrella Corp. They are assigned into two different projects ... "Project Alice" and "Project Nemesis". You find out what these "Projects" are in the sequel of the movie ...



All in all it is a great movie with a lot of action great special effects and a great story... especially for when it was Filmed (2002) because it was one of the first Virus - Zombie Movies to be filmed with such a high technology ...

The 5th Element (Mila Jovovich Week)

Well personally Mila Jovovich is one of my favorite actors ... So this week is entirely dedicated to her and the best of her Films.

Well today lets review one of her highlights ... The 5th Element, costarring Bruce Willis, was meant to be a big success.

So lets talk about the Plot: Somewhere in the future (though it is an old movie the visualisation is great) a cab driver becomes part of a "save the world" mission, when half naked Mila crashes on his cab. Previously she was reproduced from scientists by cells they found on an UFO. While fleeing from the she crashes on this cab. Her Mission is to find an ultimate weapon to defeat Evil forces, that want to take over the world.Therefore she needs Dallas' help (Bruce Willis).Together they end up finding four Elements, that are required to create a mass destruction weapon, that is strong enough to destroy the Evil forces. It's then, that they discover, that Mila herself is the 5th Element that misses.So she sacrifices herself for the well-being of the world ...


So this movie far exceeded every sci-fi movie until it's release (maybe not "Existenz" but lets think about this another time) not only in the aspect of the special effects, that where really very advanced, but also in the plot, that showed an Galactic community with disputes and profit seeking Aliens... Also a great asset is Mila's beauty (I think her Hair Color in this movie is my favorite) and "innocence" that enforces the hole plot!!!


So as A sci-fi movie (of 1997)                  9/10

     as a Sci-fi movie (in 2010)                   7/10

     Acting and Plot                                    9/10 (after all it's Bruce Willis and Mila Jovovich and many others)


All together make a movie with 8/10 ... so pretty good ... What am I saying its one of the very great movies I have seen and I definitely recommend it for all audiences (that's also a big asset)

Resident Evil 4: Afterlife

A Great Movie!


Although the movie enters theaters in Greece on Thursday 21.10.2010, There was a sneak peek view this Saturday. So of course I went to see the movie because I loved the previous 3 movies.(especially Mila Jovovich)

So as always (except for the first movie) the plot wasn't that extraordinary but thereefore the Action exceeded any expectation I had. Also the3D wasn't just wasted as in many movies these days, where the only thing that the 3D can add to your watching experience is a 3Euro expense.

So the Movie starts with Alice still wanting to destroy the Umbrella corporation and thereefore invades their headquarters. After literally kicking everybody's ass, the main bad-guy blows the whole building up with some kind of super bomb, while escaping with a Helicopter. What he doesn't know is that one of Alice's clones is hiding in that Helicopter waiting to kill him. As she approaches from behind he injects her with a fluid that erases her telekinetic powers.(Watch Resident Evil 3)

The Aircraft crashes into a mountain and both of the disappear. Well after that the story is about how Alice tries to find out where this bad-guy is hiding. She flies to Hollywood where she finds a Group of survivors struggling to find Arcadia (where she just returns from). According to the Arcadia is a ship where they are offered food and shelter. After an enormous fight with thousands of Zombies They finally reach the Ship. As they get on board they find out that the ship is abandoned. But after a thorough search they find a secret room under the deck. It's theree that they find The bad-guy. (not) surprisingly after being hit by more than 50 bullets (many of them in the head) he manages to escape in a Helicopter(the same model that he escaped in the last time) and again he wants to let the ship explode ... as he pushes the button he encounters the bomb in the back of his helicopter. He is blown into dust (but we don't know if he survived). Everybody on board gets to the higher deck of he ship (many prisoners, the group found in the secret room) where they think that everything is alright but then they see a swarm of helicopters coming towards them.(Enemy helicopters)

THE END


So as mentioned previously the action is overwhelming and nearly non-stop.

Starring Angelina Jolie

I was excited to go to the movies again ... I just love this actress (when she looks serious her lips don't close totally). I had already seen the trailer and it seamed like a great movie. Here is the plot:

Eveline Salt is a CIA agent. She specialises in interrogation techniques. Her life is torn upside down, when one day interrogating a Russian man he tells her (in front of witnesses), that she is a Russian spy working as a sleeper (agent who stays undercover for a long time, sometimes for decades). Thinking that her agency wants to imprison her she flees and is being wanted by CIA. Further in the film we see that she really is a Russian spy. The plan of the Agency she works for is to use Americas nuclear missiles to start a nuclear war. Well until now the film was great. Just what I expected it to be ... not the best film ever but quite OK. But then came the ending that destroyed every ounce of interest I had for this Movie. Let's see what happened ...

Evelin's CIA boss (who turns out to be a Russian spy himself) is in the presidential Bunker and holds the PC that controls all nuclear missiles in the USA. The bunker is shut close. Then Evelyn, who turns out to be the good guy after all tries to stop her boss from doing what he plans to. So how does she reach him ... easy ... she shoots herself through a massive concrete Wall and enters the Bunker ... then she fights her former Boss, who is just as well trained as her (and a Man) and wins. In the last moment she saves the world from the damnation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Well I hope my point is made clear ... WHAT A BUNCH OF SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean there is just no way she would ever be able to shoot through a Bunker Wall and even if, there would be no way to stop a Plan so well planned !!! The Plot until the end is great ... but the End itself is just crap ... just another Hollywood - Happy - Ending that is forced into a movie just to make it ... I don't know what they wanted to make it like ... But I don't like what came out ....


So Lets see ... Today's rating:         As an Action Film (without the ending)  8/10

                                                     As an Action Film(with the Ending)       2/10

                                                     As a Family film ...     Hmm I don't know

                                                     General rating ...   5/10, but I think the end reduces it to 3/10


Sorry but i wouldn't recommend the movie ... because it really depressed me at the End and I don't want my readers to suffer that same fate ... because I love you!!!

The Human Centipede

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!

Really one of the sickest movies ever. Lets see ... The Story goes like that: Two girls are on a road trip through Germany. When they have a flat tire they are forced to search for help, because (as always) there is no signal! They find a house were they hope to find the help they need. Instead of that they are drugged. They wake up in a room, that looks like an OR. As soon as they wake up Dr. Heiter (the name of the sick bastard) tells them his Plan. He wants to create a Siamese triple that connects through the gastric system ... that means he want' s to connect them from Ass to mouth!!!!

From here on I' m not telling you what happens, because you have to find that out on your own(if you dare).


Personally I liked this movie very much. Not that I like the sadistic ways of this sicko, but compared to all these American Hollywood (Horror)movies this was a hole new level of Horror. I can only recommend this movie to the Horror movie fans ... everybody else stay away from this movie, cause there is some serious shit going on there. Well so lets see ...  Sick, but nice plot (I mean that this is something new ... not the ordinary zombie movies of which there are more than three every year in the theatres), good acting especially by Dr. Heiter ... Nice Ending ...


So if I had to give a rating I would say: As a horror movie: 10/10

                                                           As a movie for the family: 0/10

                                                           As a movie for a boring night: 3/10

                                                           As a movie for normal people: 2/10



So as you see it' s one if not the best Horror movie I have ever seen but its only for Horror fans who like to scare the shit out of them (It' s not that scary...but it's sick like hell!!!!!!!!!)
